A Wells Fargo Championship Volunteer With A View

CHARLOTTE, N.C.– At the intersection of competition and beauty is the connection between the best in the world and the locally devoted. For 18 holes, four-time major champion Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland was flanked by David Eisenbath, 58, from Matthews, N.C. It’s the awesome combination of the professional standard and the volunteer standard bearer. Eisenbath is a 39-year veteran of the airline industry on vacation to walk majestic miles with main attractions. For a guy who loves golf, this assignment was a gimme. It’s an annual tradition that dates back to the inception of the PGA playing at Quail Hollow. Eisenbath has been as close as it gets-with G.O.A.T.S.- as in Tiger and Michael Jordan.
