An Iconic Radio Career Takes The Checkered Flag

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After 36 years of calling NASCAR races, Doug Rice, who is the President and Lead Anchor for The Performance Racing Network is taking the checkered flag. Rice announced before the 2024 season started that this would be his last season behind the microphone. He began three decades ago in NASCAR because that was the only professional sport that existed in North Carolina. From there, he became one of the most recognized voices on radio and after the Las Vegas race he will walk away from what has been a blessing to him.
