One High School Basketball Official Is Still At It After Five Decades

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It is one of the most under appreciated jobs in all of sports; being an official. For basketball officials, they are within a few feet of the fans and are constantly moving for a couple of hours. It is a tough thing to do. For one local gentleman, none of that has kept him from doing what he loves with a sport he loves for more than five decades. This coming season, at the young age of 79, James Wilson will start his 52nd year on the hardwoods officiating games throughout the Queen City.
