The Charlotte Knights Begin Their Week Of Service

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  The Charlotte Knights kicked off their annual week of service on Tuesday, as the team looked to give back to the Queen City. Tuesday morning, the team and it’s staff took time to help out the non-profit organization, Books on the House. This organization makes sure that everyone has books to read. They collect books throughout the year and then distribute them through a book mobile. The Knights took time to help them scan books into their system, something that normally takes Books on the House hours upon hours to do.

“It means alot,” said Tim Elko of the Charlotte Knights. “You know the fans in the community come out and support us all the time and to be able to come out and give back to them. We love to do it.”

The week continued on Wednesday as the Knights hosted a financial literacy workshop for youth at Truist Field. Thursday, the team will head to the Ronald McDonald house to help their charity.
